1,923 Dancers Form 1923 On Republic Day In İzmir

Number 1923, the year when the Republic of Turkey was founded, was formed during a folkdance by 1,923 people in İzmir on Republic Day.

A remarkable traditional Aegean folkdance of zeybek was performed during celebrations on the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic in Bayraklı district.

A total of 1,923 folk dancers began to perform zeybek at 19: 23 and the large group formed the number 1923, which is the year when the Republic of Turkey was founded. Thousands of people were amazed by the show.

Following the show, nationalistic 10th Year Anthem was played and all of the people sang it anthem aloud.

Bayraklı Mayor expressed his thanks to the dancers at the end of the celebration.
