A new development has occurred in the case of Erdal T, the officer in charge of the Trust Office at the Büyükçekmece Courthouse, who allegedly stole 50 kilograms of silver and 25 kilograms of gold and fled to England. In an operation conducted at 17 addresses, 10 people were detained, including Erdal T's mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law.
This morning, an operation was carried out at 17 different addresses to find the gold stolen from the judicial deposit by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and to identify the suspects.
As part of the operation; a total of 10 people were detained, including the parents and sibling of the fugitive suspect Erdal T.'s wife, Esma T., a suspect identified in the vehicle where the gold was loaded as seen in the camera footage, and another suspect who came to the scene to collect some of the stolen gold.
In the incident that took place at the Büyükçekmece Courthouse, the officer in charge of the Custody Office, Erdal T., had disappeared with 50 kilograms of silver and 25 kilograms of gold, and it was determined that he had fled to England with his wife and children. The Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which initiated an investigation into the incident, ordered the detention of custody officer Kemal D., who was subsequently remanded in custody by the court.
