Two Egyptian policemen were killed and a third one was injured on Sunday in an explosion that took place meters away from the Foreign Ministry headquarters in downtown Cairo, state television reported.
According to the broadcaster, the bombing hit a checkpoint near the ministry's building, which is also adjacent to the state television's headquarters, leaving a police officer and a conscript dead and another conscript wounded.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
