Two people were killed in a bomb blast in southern Egypt on Sunday, a security source has said.
"An explosion went off near a police station in Aswan province, killing two people and injured six others," the source, requesting anonymity, told The Anadolu Agency.
Egyptian authorities have yet to comment on the blast, for which no group has yet claimed responsibility.
Egypt has seen a rise of attacks since the military ousted elected President Mohamed Morsi in mid-2013 following massive protests against his rule.
Egyptian authorities typically blame the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, the group from which Morsi hails, for the attacks, which in recent months have mostly targeted security forces.
The Brotherhood denies the accusations, insisting that it is committed to peaceful activism.
