Two Palestinians were shot and injured by Israeli army forces early Sunday during clashes in Dheisheh refugee camp, near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, eyewitnesses said.
According to the witnesses, an Israeli force stormed the camp and raided several house before detaining a Palestinian man at his residence.
The Israeli army used live ammunition, rubber bullets and teargas to disperse stone-throwing Palestinians angered by the detention.
Two Palestinians were shot in the leg while many others suffered temporary asphyxiation due to teargas inhalation, they added.
Israeli forces sporadically raid Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and detains local Palestinians, claiming the latter are "wanted" by Israeli security agencies.
