20 Killed İn Afghan Crackdown On Taliban

20 people were killed and eight others were wounded in the last 24 hours during Afghan operations against the Taliban across the country.



18 of those killed during the operations were Taliban members, whereas the remaining two were Afghan security officials, according to a statement issued by Afghan Defense Ministry.



A number of weapons and explosive materials were captured and many bombs planted in the different regions of the country were defused, the statement said. 



Meanwhile, Taliban denied the number of casualties released by the defense ministry, despite not giving an alternative toll. It said their attacks killed scores of Afghan and foreign troops.
