Dengue cases in Nagpur have shot up alarmingly high.

Dengue cases in Nagpur have shot up alarmingly high. And no less than 26 fatalities have been recorded so far. The health department has taken blood samples from 3,173 people. Out of this 800 tests turned out to be positive.



The death toll and patients battling for life this year have surpassed those of last year. A Municipal Corporation Councilor Pragati Patil too is suffering from the dreaded disease. She has been in hospital for past two weeks. Earlier, dengue fever was rampant in urban areas and rural parts were hardly affected. This time the disease has spread to city's outskirts and villages too.
