30 Feared Dead İn Nw Nigeria After Attack On Villages

As many as 30 people are feared dead after gunmen raided the villages of Kokeya and Chigama in Nigeria's northwestern Zamfara State, the country's official news agency reported on Sunday.



"Gunmen killed more than 30 people whose bodies are still being recovered from the bush," the news agency "ed Muhammad Gusami, chairman of Zamfara State's Birnin-Magaji local government area, as saying.



According to Gusami, gunmen had also attacked Kokeya over the weekend, where they reportedly killed two people.



Sanusi Amiru, a local police spokesman, confirmed the attack in Kokeya.
