A 5.8 magnitude quake hit Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan at 6:31 p.m. local time, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said on Saturday. The epicenter was initially detected at 37.4 degrees north latitude and 141.6 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 40 km, according to the agency.
