Israel has said that nine rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip over the past hour.
"In the last hour 9 rockets were launched at Israel," Israeli army spokesman Peter Lerner said on his Twitter account early on Friday.
"6 were intercepted by IDF Iron Dome, 3 hit open areas," he added.
A 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire has already gone into effect in the Gaza Strip, three weeks after the Palestinian enclave came under unrelenting Israeli aerial, naval and ground attacks.
The attacks left 1458 Palestinians dead and 8375 others injured.
Around 61 Israeli troops were killed since the beginning of the operation, while three civilians were killed by rockets fired from the Gaza Strip.
