In the Güngören district of Istanbul, a fetus found by children playing has been determined to be 6 months old. The parents have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
In Istanbul Güngören, a fetus was found by children playing in an empty lot. Police teams detained individuals identified as the mother and the father of the child, while it was determined that the fetus was 6 months old.
A DEAD FETUS WAS FOUND AMONG THE STONES
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Güneştepe neighborhood of Istanbul Güngören. According to claims, a dead fetus was found hidden among the stones by children playing in an empty lot on the street. After the children informed their families, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon citizens' notifications.
PARENTS DETAINED
After the teams' investigations, it was determined that a 6-month pregnant woman had taken medication to induce a miscarriage and that the dead fetus had been left in the area. Following the incident, the individuals identified as the mother and the person believed to be the father of the child were detained by police teams. After the teams' work, the fetus found in the lot was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
