FIRST TIME RELEGATED TO AMATEUR
Denizlispor drew 1-1 with Niğde Belediyespor in a match where they would declare their salvation if they won on Saturday, and for the first time in its history, it was relegated to the amateur league. After the match, the incidents on the field turned Denizli Atatürk Stadium into a fire scene.
ACHIEVED A HISTORICAL FIRST
Denizli's other representative, Denizli İdmanyurdu, guaranteed the championship in the Regional Amateur League 7th Group one day later, saving the city from being without a representative in the professional league. Denizli İdmanyurdu secured the championship without even playing a match when their closest rival, Torbalıspor, lost 1-0 away to Yeşil Çivril Belediyespor during the week they had a bye.
Before the last week, the Denizli team was 4 points ahead of Torbalıspor and will receive the championship trophy on Sunday, May 4, in the match against Asarlıkspor, competing in the 3rd League in the new season.
