A major fraud has emerged at the Büyükçekmece Courthouse. It has been determined that Erdal T., the officer in charge of the courthouse's Trust Office, unlawfully took 50 kilograms of silver and 25 kilograms of gold from the office and disappeared. An investigation revealed that Erdal T. fled to England with the stolen items, while another suspect, Kemal D., who is believed to be connected to the incident, has been taken into custody.

This has happened, the Custody Office of the Büyükçekmece Courthouse was robbed by the responsible custodian officer. The custodian officer fled to England after stealing 50 kilograms of silver and approximately 25 kilograms of gold.

HIS ABSENCE AT WORK ATTRACTED ATTENTION

The incident occurred on December 1, 2025, at the Büyükçekmece Courthouse. According to the information obtained, it was reported to the Public Prosecutor that Erdal T., the custodian officer working at the Custody Office of the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, had not been coming to work for a long time.

SAFE FOUND EMPTY

Upon this, the Public Prosecutor ordered the officials to open the custody office room and the safes inside. It was determined during the search that the safes were empty.

As a result of a comprehensive investigation, it was found that approximately 50 kilograms of silver and approximately 25 kilograms of gold belonging to various investigation and prosecution files were missing.

FLED ABROAD ON NOVEMBER 19

Upon the instruction of the Public Prosecutor's Office, a warrant was issued for the arrest of custodian officers Erdal T. and another suspect, Kemal D. The investigation revealed that custodian officer Erdal T. fled to England with his wife and children on November 19, 2025, around 08:22.

The other suspect, Kemal D., was captured and taken into custody at his address. As part of the investigation, statements were taken from all personnel, including the head of the writing department working in the custody office, and searches were conducted at their homes. However, it was learned that no criminal evidence was found during the search.

While the investigation in the custody office continues, an additional detention order was issued for the suspect Kemal D.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the suspect Erdal T. wrote to his friends on the WhatsApp application, "I sold the goods, may God give you a market."
