While traveling on the Eskişehir-Ankara highway, a passenger bus caught fire in the engine compartment. The bus was evacuated with its 25 passengers before being engulfed in flames. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was brought under control.
While traveling in Eskişehir, a passenger bus engulfed in flames became unusable, while the 25 passengers inside were evacuated at the last moment. The incident occurred on the Eskişehir-Ankara highway in the Mülk neighborhood of Sivrihisar district. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of the passenger bus, which was on the Ankara-İzmir route and had 25 passengers, 2 drivers, and 1 attendant on board, for unknown reasons.
FLAMES QUICKLY SURROUNDED THE ENTIRE BUS
The flames quickly engulfed the entire vehicle. Passengers evacuated the bus while saving their belongings. Upon notification, 2 fire trucks, along with gendarmerie and police teams, were dispatched to the scene. In the fire, which was extinguished by the teams' intervention, fortunately, there were no injuries, but the bus engulfed in flames became unusable.
Police and gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
