At least 101 people, including 32 children and 14 women, were killed in air and ground operations across Syria on Sunday by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad, opposition activists say.
The London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights said 22 people had been killed in Hama, 20 in Aleppo and 20 more in Idlib, 15 in the suburbs of Damascus, six in Quneytra, five in Raqqa, five in Dera, three in El Heseke and three more in Homs, and two in Deir ez-Zor.
Separately, the Syrian Revolution General Commission said in a statement that many houses were damaged and destroyed by Syrian army's attacks with barrel bombs in opposition-controlled areas across the country.
The Syrian news Agency SANA said governmental forces had killed many armed groups in Hama, Idlib, Aleppo, Dera and the suburbs of Damascus.
Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011. A recent UN report has said more than 191,000 people are believed to have been killed in the conflict.
