After the loss of his friends due to a heart attack, Cenk Eren took action and decided to perform on stage with his team, who have now received first aid training, and with a defibrillator device.

Singer Cenk Eren has taken a significant preventive measure following the painful losses experienced on stage. After the passing of his close friends Metin Arolat and Volkan Konak due to heart attacks, Eren stated that he no longer wants to leave anything to chance. From now on, he will have a team trained in first aid and a defibrillator device with him at every venue he performs. After receiving the sad news, Eren went to Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Hospital, where he learned the details of the incidents from hospital sources. The artist, who took action based on the information he gathered and his own health risk assessments, pointed out that many concert venues lack both fully equipped ambulances and emergency intervention equipment.

COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING RECEIVED

According to Hürriyet's report, Eren received comprehensive first aid training from Prof. Dr. Ali Aycan Kaval, who works at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Hospital, for both himself and his backstage team as the first step. The artist, who also acquired an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a life-saving device for sudden cardiac arrests, carries the emergency medications recommended by his doctor at concerts.

Radical decision from Cenk Eren after Volkan Konak's passing on stage

In a statement regarding the issue, Eren emphasized that defibrillator devices are found in many places abroad, from metro stations to school corridors, saying, "This device can save not only the artist on stage but also the lives of the audience." Eren noted that three professors immediately intervened in Volkan Konak's heart attack, but he learned that the necessary device was not available at that moment in the venue. He expressed his sorrow with the words, "Maybe if there had been a defibrillator, he could still be with us."
