AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir met with the executives of media organizations at a breakfast program following the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress and the 8th Ordinary Grand Congress of the AK Party Istanbul. The breakfast was attended by the Promotion and Media Chairman Abdullah Arıdoru and various general editors, news directors, and broadcast chiefs of media organizations. General Editor Av. SHARED HIS ROADMAP
During the meeting, Chairman Özdemir provided information to the press about the work carried out in Istanbul since he took office and the roadmap for the future, evaluating the steps taken for the city's development. He also emphasized the excitement and goals of the organization, which has been largely renewed after the 8th Ordinary Grand Congress.
"WE WILL NOT LEAVE A DOOR UNKNOCKED"
Özdemir stated that the renewed and revitalized organization will reconnect Istanbul with services in the upcoming period, recalling the phrase "Istanbul with its every neighborhood, every story," and said, "Street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, valuing one-on-one communication, we will not leave a person untouched, nor a door unknocked."
"WE WILL RESPOND WHERE NECESSARY"
Chairman Özdemir expressed that Istanbul should be managed with services, not polemics, stating, "We will respond in the best way where necessary, but we will change our opponents' perspectives not with polemics but with the services we provide."
"ONE OF THEIR BIGGEST EXCUSES..."
Özdemir, stating that one of the biggest excuses of the previous municipal administration was the claim "the management is with us, but we are being blocked in the council," said, "Okay, this term you are in the council. But can we say this during the past period? Did they have services that touched the people of Istanbul, did they have projects that added value to Istanbul? Unfortunately, we cannot say that."
"BUSES IN ISTANBUL ARE ABOUT TO EXPLODE"
In response to a question regarding public transportation, Özdemir stated that in 2019, the youngest bus fleet in Europe was delivered with an average age of 5.8 years. He expressed that it has now become the oldest bus fleet in Europe, saying, "Buses in Istanbul are about to explode."
Listening to the questions and opinions of the participants, Chairman Özdemir provided information about the future work to be done in line with the AK Party's goals in Istanbul. The program concluded with a group photo with the press in a friendly atmosphere.
