The indictment related to the "betting in football" investigation has reached the request for the arrest of 14 football players. According to the indictment from the prosecutor's office, it was requested that Ergün Nazlı be arrested for "match-fixing," while the other 13 suspects were to be arrested for "violating Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports."
"Football betting" investigation has recorded that the suspects, who placed individual bets for personal gain independent of the football team they played for, committed the alleged crime by affecting the outcome of the match. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has reached the referral letter regarding 14 of the 21 suspects for whom the prosecutor requested arrest in the investigation conducted against the allegation of "football betting."
REFERRAL LETTERS FOR 14 FOOTBALL PLAYERS REVEALED
According to the letter, in the evaluation made regarding the suspect İbrahim Yılmaz, it was noted that Yılmaz, who is a member of Nesine, had a total of 88 betting slips for the matches he played while being a player at İstanbulspor AŞ, Eyüpspor, and 24 Erzincanspor clubs between July 12, 2020, and March 24, 2024.
It was stated in the letter that suspect Eyüp Can Temiz also had a membership with Nesine, was a player at Arhavispor Football Club on April 21, 2021, started the match in the starting 11, made a bet stating "the opposing team wins," and invested 100 lira, winning the bet he placed regarding his own match.
In the letter, it was reported that suspect Furkan Demir, who is a member of Nesine, was a player at 1877 Alemdağspor Club on April 8, 2021, started the match in the starting 11, made a bet stating "the opposing team wins," and invested 200 lira, winning the bet he placed regarding his own match, but stated that he lost the betting slip he placed. It was also mentioned that Demir had slips for different matches or sports other than his own match.
In the evaluations made regarding suspect Mustafa Çeçenoğlu, it was noted that the suspect, who placed a bet on June 30, 2020, was a player of Menemen Football Club at that time, entered the game in the 83rd minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins the first half and the match." It was emphasized that Çeçenoğlu, who was a player of Denizlispor Football Club on January 23, 2023, was in the starting 11 and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins by at least 2 goals."
It was stated in the letter that Çeçenoğlu invested 100 lira in the bet on June 30, 2020, lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip, invested 1500 lira in the bet he placed on January 23, 2023, won the bet regarding his own match, but lost the betting slip he placed.
It was also noted that in the examination of the suspect's digital materials, it was determined that he accessed an illegal betting site named "Holiganbet" in his internet history.
PLACED BETS IN FAVOR OF THE OPPOSING TEAM
In the letter, it was stated that suspect Gökhan Payal made 4 bets in favor of the opposing team according to Nesine data, and that Payal, who was a player of Anagold 24 Erzincanspor on September 10 and October 8, 2023, started the match as a substitute, entered the game at different minutes, and made a total of 4 different bets stating "the opposing team wins."
It was reported that Payal invested a total of 440 lira in the mentioned bets, including 200 lira, 100 lira, 90 lira, and 50 lira, and lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip.
In the letter, it was stated that suspect Bahattin Berke Demircan made 2 bets in favor of the opposing team according to Nesine data, and that he was a player of Beykoz Anadolu when he made a bet on May 9, 2021, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 74th minute, and made 2 different bets stating "the opposing team wins."
Demircan invested 90 lira in the bets on May 9, 2021, won the bets he placed regarding his own match, but lost the betting slips he placed.
According to Nesine data, it was stated that suspect Doğukan Çınar was a player of Tekirdağspor Club on October 14, 2020, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 57th minute, and made a bet of the type that covers two different outcomes of the match, either "double chance for a draw" or "the opposing team wins."
It was noted in the letter that Çınar invested 50 lira in this bet, won 591 lira from the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip, and that in the examination of Çınar's digital materials, images of betting slips made on illegal betting sites named bets10 and kralbet were found, as well as passwords and login information belonging to sites named bets10, casibom, kralbet, and jojobet.
In the letter, it was stated that suspect Ergün Nazlı, according to Nesine data, played for Serikspor Football Club on November 13, 2022, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 72nd minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins," invested 30 lira in the bet, won the bet he placed regarding his own match, but lost the betting slip.
According to Nesine data, it was reported that suspect Hamit Bayraktar was a player of Karpedo Dondurma Kahramanmaraşspor Club on November 27, 2021, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 46th minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins by two goals," investing 3 lira in the bet, lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip, and that in the examination of his digital materials, there was web history indicating access to illegal betting sites named "Paribahis" and "grandpashabet."
In the letter, it was stated that suspect Hüseyin Aybars Tüfekci made a bet on April 8, 2021, according to Nesine data, and that the suspect, who was a player of Karaman Football Club, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 82nd minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins," investing 100 lira in the bet, lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip.
In the evaluations made regarding suspect İlke Tankul, it was noted that according to Nesine data, the suspect made 3 bets in favor of the opposing team, and that he was a player of Gümüşhane Sportif Faaliyetler AŞ on December 30, 2020, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 88th minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins."
It was stated in the letter that suspect Tankul invested 400 lira in the bet on December 30, 2020, lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip, invested 250 lira in the bet on April 7, 2021, lost the bet he placed regarding his own match and the betting slip, and that the suspect, who invested 250 lira in the bet on February 13, 2022, won the match he placed regarding his own match but lost the betting slip.

In the examination of suspect Tankul's digital materials, it was also noted that there were images of betting slips made on illegal betting sites named bets10, holiganbet, and bestmove.
In the letter, it was stated that suspect Mert Aktaş, according to Nesine data, made a bet on September 22, 2024, while playing for Silivrispor, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 62nd minute, and made a bet stating "the opposing team wins."
In the text, it is stated that Aktaş invested 30 lira in this coupon, played a bet related to his own match, and lost the betting coupon. It was reported that in the examinations of his digital materials, there were login details for an illegal betting site named matbet, web history indicating access to illegal betting sites named metbet, palazzobet, norabahis, and images of coupons belonging to illegal betting sites named matbet and jojobet.
In the text, it is mentioned that according to İsmail Karakaş's Nesine data, on the date of the coupon he made on January 30, 2022, he played for Edirnespor, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 84th minute, and made a coupon stating "the opposing team wins," investing 50 lira in the coupon. It was noted that he won the bet related to his own match but lost the betting coupon.
According to the Nesine data of the suspect Tufan Kelleci, it was stated that he made 3 coupons in favor of the opposing team, and on the date of the coupon on September 14, 2022, he was a player of Sivas Dört Eylül Futbol AŞ, started the match in the starting 11, and made a coupon stating "the opposing team wins." It was also reported that on the date of the coupon on April 7, 2021, he was a player of Serik Spor Futbol AŞ, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 73rd minute, and made a coupon stating "the opposing team wins."
In the text, it is emphasized that on the date of the coupon on February 13, 2022, suspect Kelleci was a player of Tarsus İdman Yurdu, started the match as a substitute, entered the game in the 57th minute, and made a coupon stating "the opposing team wins," investing 300 lira in the coupon on September 14, 2022, and lost the betting coupon related to his own match.
It was stated in the text that the suspects placed individual bets to gain personal profit, independent of the football team they played for, and committed the crime attributed to them by affecting the outcome of the match.
