US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth issued a strong warning to Iran, which supports the Houthis in Yemen.

In a post titled "Message to Iran" on the social media platform X, Hegseth stated, "We see the lethal support you provide to the Houthis. We know very well what you are doing." Noting that Iran "knows very well what the American military is capable of," Hegseth reminded that Tehran had been "warned about this before." He expressed that Iran's support for the Houthis in Yemen would not go unpunished, warning, "You will face the consequences at a time and place of our choosing."

TRUMP HAD TARGETED THE HOUTHIS

On March 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had given orders to the US military to launch a major attack against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. Following this development, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) began conducting intense airstrikes on Houthi targets in various regions of Yemen. In retaliation, the Houthis targeted US ships and drones and continued their attacks against Israel.
