Iranian daily Asr-i Azadi became the latest subscriber of the Anadolu Agency raising to forty-one the number of countries in the agency's global subscription network.
Asr-i Azadi is a daily based in the northwestern Tebriz province, belonging to the Silk Road media group.
During a official signing ceremony for the agency's subscription, the group's General Director Vahid Peyman said: "Developing commercial and touristic cooperation between the two countries will also affect our cultural ties positively. We pay much importance to the subscription to Anadolu Agency in this regard."
The Anadolu Agency, which currently has some 400 plus subscribers, plans as part of its centennial vision to broadcast in 11 languages by 2020. The agency currently broadcasts in Turkish, Arabic, English, Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian, Russian, Kurdish and French.
