Anadolu Agency Takes Part İn Photo Festival

Anadolu Agency is to participate in the world largest photojournalism festival for the second year running next week.



Visa Pour L'Image, held in the southern French city of Perpignan, is attended by internationally renowned news and photo agencies.



"Anadolu Agency has enlarged its international photojournalist network by forming ties with those working in the farthest corners of the world," Visual News Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Sel said.



The festival, between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6, is visited by around 150,000 people each year and this year Anadolu Agency will be promoting photographs taken in 2015 as well as anadoluimages.com and the Istanbul Photo Awards, which is run by the agency.



"We expect the same level of interest this year that was attached to Anadolu Agency last year," Sel said.



Anadolu Agency has become a major brand in international news photography and its images can be seen "on the front pages of the world's most prestigious newspapers and influential news websites," Sel added.



The agency produces more than 2,000 photographs a day and distributes them through international distribution agencies.



Last year, Anadolu Agency became the first professional Turkish participant in festival. - Ankara
