A secondary school in the Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır province was set on fire by a group which is believed to be affiliated with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on Tuesday night.
The group threw stones and Molotov cocktails to the school, triggering a fire in the school. The school, which is one of the largest schools in the distritc, became unserviceable after the incident.
Around 30 schools have been set on fire by the PKK supporters so far this year. The attacks are believed to be in retaliation for the Turkish government's closure of three schools providing education in the Kurdish language that opened on September 15, the first day of the 2014-2015 school year.
