DHAKA -- One body was found and many others were missing after a trawler sank in the river Meghna with 60 passengers aboard on Wednesday evening, fire service officials said Thursday.
They said the trawler had sailed for Munshiganj from Gozaria sub-district, near the capital and sunk after it was caught by a storm that swept many parts of Bangladesh Wednesday evening. ( Bangladesh-Accident)

SEOUL -- South Korea kept a current account surplus trend for 36 straight months as imports reduced at a faster pace than exports, fueling concerns about the so-called recession type of surplus, central bank data showed Thursday.
Current account surplus, the broadest measure of cross-border trade and fund flow, was 6.44 billion U.S. dollars in February, up 41.9 percent from a year earlier, according to the Bank of Korea ( BOK). Compared with the previous month, the surplus slid 2.1 percent. (South Korea-Economy)

WELLINGTON -- Weakening demand from Australia is helping to drive down New Zealand exports, the New Zealand Manufacturers and Exporters Association (NZMEA) said Thursday.
A survey of business conditions showed total sales in February fell by 18.2 percent year on year, with export sales down by 27.06 percent and domestic sales up 10.08 percent. (New Zealand-Exports)

SYDNEY -- Australia's trade deficit widened in February, but not as much as tipped by analysts.
