PROPERTY TAX PAYMENT OPTIONS

Property tax can be paid both in full and in installments. Taxpayers can make their payments by visiting the municipality where the property is registered. Additionally, online payment options are available in municipalities integrated with the e-Government system. This helps to avoid long queues, especially during busy periods.

WHO IS EXEMPT FROM PROPERTY TAX?

Retirees who own a single residence not exceeding 200 square meters, as well as retired widows and orphans receiving pensions, are exempt from property tax. Additionally, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and citizens who can document that they have no income are also included in the exemption from this tax.

NO CHANGE IN PAYMENT SCHEDULE

As in previous years, property tax is paid in two installments. The first installment period is from March 1 to May 31, and the second installment period occurs in November. Normally, the due date for the second installment was November 30, but since this date falls on a Sunday, the last payment day will be applied as December 1, Monday.

HOW TO CHECK DEBT?

Citizens who want to learn whether they have any property tax debt can check their debts through the municipality where the property is registered or via the Internet Tax Office through the e-Government Gateway. The system offers a quick and practical alternative for those who do not wish to visit the municipality.
