Osman Alkan (65) lost his life in a traffic accident in the Altınkum neighborhood of Edremit district in Balıkesir. A funeral prayer was held for Alkan after the afternoon prayer at the Altınoluk Village Mosque. The funeral was attended by Osman Alkan's sister, famous artist Banu Alkan, along with family members and loved ones. Banu Alkan, who lost her brother, said, "He was my diamond. I lost my diamond, I lost my angel. I lost my greatest protector in the world. The one who gave me the most love, a dream that was always by my side throughout my life. He has three children, Kerem and Melis. My dear."
Banu Alkan expressed that she last spoke to her brother two days ago, saying, "Two days ago he said, 'Sister, come, come.' I said, 'I promise, I am coming.'
