Spanish football club Barcelona announced Monday the signing of Turkish international Arda Turan.
Barcelona said on its official website that Atletico Madrid will receive 34 million euros ($37.6 million) and a possible 7 million euros ($7.7 million) in variables for the attacker midfielder.
The 28-year-old Turkish international was transferred from Galatasaray to Atletico Madrid in 2011.
Arda Turan's agent Ahmet Bulut told the Turkish NTV spor channel that Arda had signed a five-year agreement with Barcelona.
Turan becomes the second Turkish international to play for Barcelona, after goalkeeper Rustu Recber from 2003 to 2005. - Ankara
