Portuguese Premier League winners Benfica's Argentine winger Eduardo Salvio will miss a key challenge in the UEFA Europa League due to arm injury, the UEFA says.
The 23-year-old underwent surgery on Tuesday after he broke his left arm during a league match against Olhanense on Monday, which Benfica won 2-0 to clinch their 33rd league title.
One of the pivotal players in Benfica's line-up, Salvio will miss the rest of the season, including both legs of a fierce matchup against Italy's Juventus in UEFA Europa League semis, the UEFA adds.
