A man has died and four other people have been injured in an explosion at an ammunition plant in southeastern Bulgaria on Friday, police officials said.
The man, a worker in the factory located in Maglizh, some 260 km east of the country's capital Sofia, died on the spot, said the police.
The cause of the blast at the plant, owned by a private Bulgarian company, is not yet known, according to Gospodin Gospodinov, mayor of Maglizh.
Two women who were severely injured were taken to a hospital in the city of Stara Zagora, but there is "no danger to their lives," according to police.
The blast comes less than three months after an explosion at a factory, which dismantled outdated mines in the northwestern city of Gorni Lom, killed 15 people and seriously injured three others.
