At least four illegal immigrants died and two were lost at sea while 13 were rescued from a boat which sank off Kuasadası Gulf of Aydin province in Turkey's Aegean coast on Friday, according to initial reports from the governorate of Aydin.
Governor Erol Ayyildiz told the press members that a boat sank off, carrying illegal immigrants, in Dipburnu, between Kusadası and the Soke region of Aydin.
He stated that search and rescue efforts still continue, with the four boats and a helicopter affiliated with Turkish Coast Guard Command teams.
The migrants are from Eritrea, Ayyildiz added. - Aydın
