Bomb Attacks Kill Five İn Afghanistan

Five people, including a military commander, have been killed, and four others wounded in two bomb attacks in north and northeast Afghanistan, according to officials.



Commander of Ishkashim 7th Battalion, Abdul Halil and his three guards were killed, and two others wounded when their convoy was hit by a remote-controlled roadside bomb in Ishkashim district, Ahmad Navid Furuten, the spokesman of Badakhshan governor, told Anadolu Agency on Saturday.



Three people have been detained in connection with the attack, Furuten said.



One person was killed and two others injured in a separate attack when a bomb placed in a wheelbarrow went off in the district of Balkh in Balkh province, spokesperson for Balkh Security Department, Shircan Durani said, adding that an investigation had been launched into the incident.
