Two civilians have been killed and six others wounded in a car explosion on Thursday in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, said a security source.
"The bomb was planted in a car parked on the side of a road in the Mahmoudiya area of southern Baghdad. The bomb was exploded by a remote control by anonymous assailants," a security source who preferred not to divulge his name said.
The victims are all civilians.
No one has yet to claim responsibility for the attack.
Security in Iraq has deteriorated since June, when the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant stormed the northern province of Mosul and declared what it calls a caliphate in Iraq and Syria.
