A car, which failed to negotiate the bend, hit pedestrians near the road and two people were injured in Turkish capital city of Ankara in the early night hours of Wednesday.
The accident took place in an area around Tuzluçayır junction, located in Mamak district, at around 22:30 p.m. According to the claims, 06 PJ 581 plate of car, driven by Sedat Açıkyürek, lost the steering control at a short distance to the bend. The uncontrolled car, rammed into the pedestrians, who were walking on the pavement at that time. Diren Özgün, and an unknown name woman were injured at the accident. Ambulance and police units were sent to the scene. After the first medical intervention, the injured people were taken to the hospital.
Reacting to the situation, people said that many accidents had taken place at the same place before but not any precautions were taken. A man also said that the junction has to be removed as the solution.
