TURKEY’S EINSTEIN DIES: Professor Oktay Sinanoğlu, a quantum chemist dubbed "Turkey's Einstein," died on Monday at the age of 81 in a US hospital, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced on Twitter, expressing his sadness at the professor's death.

BOAT CRASH ON ROCKS/3 DIED: A sailing boat with 125 Syrian refugees on board who were trying to pass into Europe through illegal ways, ran aground and was torn into pieces off Rhodes Island of Greece on Monday. Reportedly three of refugees died while others were rescued.

BODIES OF DROWNED REFUGEES: Search units found 24 corpses of refugees who drowned after the smuggler’s boat sank off Libya on Sunday. The bodies were later taken to Malta.

STUDENT KILLS TEACHER: A young teenage student was in police custody on suspicion of killing a teacher and wounding four other people at his school in Barcelona on Monday.
