The President of the Constitutional Court (AYM), Kadir Özkaya, stated, "The total number of individual applications made since 2012 is 703,382, of which we have resolved 602,000 as of today."
AYM President Kadir Özkaya attended the 'Inönü University 2025-2026 Academic Year Opening Ceremony.' The ceremony held at the Inönü University Congress and Culture Center was attended by Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz, Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er, Inönü University Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, Constitutional Court Member Selahaddin Menteş, representatives of institutions and organizations, representatives of civil society organizations, faculty members, and students.
MORE THAN 700,000 APPLICATIONS TO AYM
In his speech at the program, AYM President Kadir Özkaya expressed that many applications have been received since individual applications to the European Court were opened, stating, "The total number of individual applications made since 2012 is 703,382, of which we have resolved 602,000 as of today. We have issued 81,841 violation decisions, including violations of reasonable time. We have 84 decisions that have not been executed and are awaiting execution. Remember, when determination, patience, and the right direction come together, no goal is unreachable. Just believe with your heart, plan with your mind, and sustain with your effort. Then your path will always be bright, and our future will always be filled with hope. It is like one side is heaven, and the other side is hell. I fear when it comes to this saying.
