Warplanes of the Saudi-led Arab coalition on Tuesday launched two airstrikes on a rocket battalion in Yemen's eastern province of Maarib, according to eyewitnesses.
The two aerial raids targeted a rocket battalion near the Sahn al-Jin camp in northern Maarib, eyewitnesses told The Anadolu Agency.
"This is the second time in 48 hours that airstrikes targeted the same site," one of the witnesses said.
Damage incurred by the airstrikes could be determined.
Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies have been pounding positions belonging of the Shiite Houthi militant group across Yemen since Wednesday.
Riyadh says the anti-Houthi campaign was in response to appeals by embattled President ABD Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to "save the people [of Yemen] from the Houthi militias."
Some Gulf countries accuse Shiite Iran of supporting Yemen's Shiite Houthi insurgency.
