"THE LOWEST RETIREMENT PENSION MUST BE INCREASED ABOVE 25 THOUSAND TL" Speaking with tradesmen and citizens, Destici stated that retirees and minimum wage earners are facing significant difficulties, saying, "Our retirees are in great trouble. I have been saying this since July 2023. The 25% increase given at that time unfortunately fell victim to the base salary story. At that time, the lowest retirement pension was 7,500 lira. It has remained at 7,500 lira. Since then, retirees have lost approximately 8,000 TL. This 8,000 TL must be given to the retirees, and the lowest retirement pension must be increased above 25,000 TL. Because our retirees are really in a difficult situation. Secondly, our minimum wage earners. Here, our minimum wage earners are blocking our way; we are talking. Our minimum wage earners also experienced a rights violation this January. Inflation increased by 44%. But the minimum wage was increased by 30%. There was a loss of about 14%. The first 6 months also saw a 16% inflation loss. 16 plus 14 equals 30%. This should have been increased by at least 30% in July. But no increase was given at all. However, rents increased by 45%. In other words, no increase was given to minimum wage earners. Retirees received 15%, civil servant retirees and worker retirees received 16%. Rents increased by 45%. So, it is necessary to restore the balance here," he said.
"PUBLIC WORKERS HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEIR DIFFERENCES FOR 7 MONTHS" Reminding that collective bargaining negotiations regarding public workers have been ongoing for 7 months, Destici said, "Seven months have passed. Still, 600,000 public workers have not received the raise they were supposed to get in January. Why are these negotiations not completed in the second half of last year? It has reached the seventh month, and still no difference has been given. The last government offer was 24% for the first 6 months and expressed as an inflation difference for the subsequent periods. We consider it an acceptable and reasonable figure. For 2026, by giving a 5% welfare share, I think this collective agreement needs to be completed. And the workers need to receive this raise they have deserved since January," he stated.
"WE HAVE PAID 4 TIMES THE COUNTRY'S DEBT TO TERRORISM" Addressing the process of a terrorism-free Turkey, Mustafa Destici said, "Of course, we all want a terrorism-free Turkey. Because we have lost thousands of martyrs and tens of thousands of people due to terrorism for more than 40 years. And we have spent more than 2 trillion dollars. This means that we currently have a total debt of 550 billion dollars as a country, both domestic and foreign, public and private. We have spent 4 times that amount on fighting terrorism. If this money had been spent on the economy, there would be no unemployment today. Today, our retirees would be receiving not 16,000 but 36,000. Our minimum wage earners would be receiving not 22,000 but 50,000. Our teachers would be earning not 50,000 but 100,000," he said.

Neither in the constitution nor in the law will anyone allow such a change. Therefore, there is no such thing as Mesopotamian people, or Anatolian people. They will cut these off once and for all. The name of this people, this nation is the Turkish nation. We did not take our name from Turkey as the Turkish nation. This nation is Turkish, which is why this country became Turkey. That is why it is called Turkey. When this nation was established, it was called Turkey because this state is Turkish. If it were something else, something else would have been said. Just as it was named France because it is a place where many French people live, Germany because it is a place where many Germans live, and Greece because it is a place where many Greeks live, this place is called Turkey because it is the homeland of the Turks. Now, are we going to share our homeland? Could such a thing be possible? Or are we going to open the identity of our homeland and nation for discussion? That is why we say clearly. "DEM PARTY WILL ALSO DISSOLVE ITSELF" Mustafa Destici, who also touched on the PKK's disarmament process, said: "They will disarm, unconditionally, without negotiations. Let them disarm. But not just as PKK. They say the PYD will disarm, the YPG will disarm, the PJAK will disarm. All of them will disarm with all their extensions. Yes, we have brothers of different ethnic origins among us; there are Kurds, Arabs, Bosniaks, and Circassians. This is our reality, and they are our brothers. But if we try to divide this nation into Turks, Kurds, and Alevis, if we try to give privileges, then we will have no difference from Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, or Lebanon. For this reason, we will preserve our unitary structure. We will not allow anyone to disrupt the existence of our state, the integrity of our country, and the unity and brotherhood of our nation.
"WE WILL NOT LET GO OF THOSE WHO HAVE AYBÜKE TEACHER'S BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS" Destici, who stated that terrorists who lay down their arms should be tried, said, "They will come and surrender to the state. They will surrender to the justice of the state, and of course, those who commit crimes, those who have the blood of martyrs on their hands will certainly not be forgiven. We will not let go of those who have Aybüke's or Yalçın teacher's blood on their hands. They will be punished. But regarding those who have not committed crimes, the state can take a measure. However, those who have committed crimes, including the terrorist leader, must, without a doubt, pay the price for the crime they committed according to our constitution and laws. They cannot walk around freely or be released with a general amnesty; these will not be accepted by the conscience of our society. The state can forgive crimes committed against itself. But crimes committed by individuals against individuals should not be forgiven by the state, in our opinion. "IF SDG DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE SYRIAN GOVERNMENT, TURKEY SHOULD LAUNCH AN OPERATION WITHOUT WAITING" Speaking about the developments in Syria, Destici said, "There are two types of developments in Syria. One is Israel's project to occupy part of Syria by using the Druze as an excuse and to incite conflict between the Druze and especially Arab tribes. And right now, the Druze and Arab tribes are at war. The Syrian government has established a ceasefire, but this ceasefire is occasionally violated. On the other hand, the PYD, YPG, and SDG have not fallen under the central Syrian government. The PKK's extensions we are talking about continue with a separate flag, separate army, and separate region. That is one issue. For us, they must lay down their arms. Or they must fall under the central Syrian government. Regardless of the conditions, regardless of who is in front of us, even if it is America or Israel, if the structure in northern Syria does not lay down its arms and does not fall under the central Syrian government, Turkey must launch an operation without waiting and eliminate terrorism there," he said.
"WHEN THE PARLIAMENT OPENS, THERE MUST BE 25 SEATS FOR TURKMEN" Pointing to the Turkmen in Syria, Destici said: "Look, the number of Turkmen is three times more than the ethnic origins, that is, groups that are under the control of the PKK, PYD, and YPG in that region. If they are 1 million, the Syrian Turkmen are 3 million. But they have no area to govern, except for those with Turkey. Well, did they receive a ministry? No, they did not. Now the People's Assembly will be established. There must be at least 25 Turkmen. So far, there is no sign of that. The entire Çobanbey is Turkmen, Turkish. It is just beyond our border. They are brought there, and a non-Turkish mayor is appointed; can this be accepted? I do not accept this, my brother. How is it that you appoint an Arab or someone from another ethnic origin as the mayor in Çobanbey, where 90% are Turkish? If Turks will not govern in Çobanbey, where will Turkmen govern, my brother? Therefore, we must support the Turkmen. Yes, Arabs are our brothers, Kurds are our brothers, but every nation has a priority. My priority is my compatriots, the Turkmen. Of course, I want Arabs, Kurds, and all those living there to live in peace and brotherhood. But every nation’s priority is its own compatriots, its own co-religionists. It is that simple. Therefore, this mistake in Çobanbey must be corrected as soon as possible, and at least 25 Turkmen deputies must be included in the assembly that will be formed in the People's Assembly of Syria in the coming days."
