A workshop titled "The Media of the Future: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Turkey" was held in collaboration with Haberler.com, hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University. Dr. Sümeyra Teymur, the CEO of Haberler.com, delivered the opening speech of the workshop.
The "Future of Media: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Turkey Workshop," hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University in collaboration with Haberler.com, brought together academics, industry representatives, and media professionals to address the digital transformation process in the media sector.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH HABERLER.COM AND NİŞANTAŞI UNIVERSITY
The opening speeches of the workshop were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, the Rector of Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Prof. Dr. Berrin Şahin Kalsın, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and Dr. Sümeyra Teymur, CEO of Haberler.com. The speeches addressed the effects of digital transformation on the media ecosystem, AI-supported content production, and the changing dynamics in the industry.
During the sessions held as part of the workshop, the sectoral and academic impacts of media and technology integrations were discussed. In the session on the financial sustainability of digital media, traditional and digital media initiatives were compared, and the economic dynamics in the sector were analyzed. In the session titled Media Law and Digital Rights, the rights of content producers and the adequacy of existing legal regulations were evaluated.
THE IMPACT OF AI-SUPPORTED CONTENT ON MEDIA WAS DISCUSSED
In the session on artificial intelligence and media literacy, the effects of AI-supported content production on the media field were addressed, while the role of media tools in digital literacy and education was discussed. In the session on content production and disinformation, information security, ethical journalism principles, and the advantages and risks of AI-supported news production were evaluated.
The workshop concluded with assessments regarding the future of the media sector and closing speeches. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants, and it was stated that Istanbul Nişantaşı University would continue its academic and sectoral collaborations with the media sector. It was announced that the workshop report would be shared with the public in the coming days.
