Long queues formed due to special discounts for the opening of a household goods store in the Mezitli district of Mersin. Citizens lined up early in the morning, with some managing to get the products they wanted, while others returned empty-handed.
The opening discounts at a newly opened kitchenware store in the Mezitli district of Mersin caused a huge crowd from the early hours of the morning. Citizens showed great interest in the opening, which took place in the Davultepe 75th Year Neighborhood, and a long queue formed in front of the store.
LONG QUEUES ALSO AFFECTED TRAFFIC
The crowd occasionally negatively affected traffic on the street, while citizens waited for hours in line. Despite small-scale tensions in front of the store, most people maintained their place in line. However, some citizens had to turn back without entering due to the crowd.
"I GOT WHAT I WANTED, I'M LEAVING WITH MY HANDS FULL"
Ahmet Gül, who waited in line for a long time, expressed his satisfaction by saying, "I have been waiting for about an hour, I was able to get what I wanted. I got a camping chair, a cup… I bought everything I needed for home."
"PRODUCTS WERE BROUGHT IN LIMITED QUANTITIES"
Sinan Kılıç, who joined the queue early in the morning, returned empty-handed. He reacted to the situation by saying, "I was going to buy a coffee table for our office, but they brought in a limited number, and it’s sold out. Citizens are still waiting in line; I can't understand this level of crowd for products that are not available." Due to the intense interest, traffic flow around the store occasionally came to a standstill, and the discount frenzy continued throughout the day.
