Dilan Polat, who was detained and later released as part of an investigation into drug or stimulant use initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, shared her experiences. In a statement on her social media account, Polat said, "Injustice is very difficult. The effort to clear one's name is even more challenging. We will patiently wait for the new tests to come out."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau conducted an operation against individuals who are publicly known and have been investigated for the crime of using drugs or stimulants, with the help of gendarmerie teams.
THERE ARE MANY FAMOUS NAMES
In the operation, Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, İrem Derici, Kubilay Aka, Kaan Yıldırım, Hadise Açıkgöz, Berrak Tüzünataç, Duygu Özaslan Mutaf, Demet Evgar Babataş, Zeynep Meriç Aral Keskin, Özge Özpirinçci, and Mert Yazıcıoğlu were taken to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command for their statements and blood samples to be collected.
THEY WERE RELEASED
After giving their statements and having their blood samples taken, 19 famous individuals were released; statements began to come in succession. İrem Derici and Hadise made statements regarding the events.
SHE SHARED HER EXPERIENCES
Another statement came from Dilan Polat. In a post on her social media account, Polat said, "What happened, why did it happen, we don't know why the gendarmerie came to our house at 7 in the morning. Just two weeks after our hair test came back clean, we were taken in with a dawn operation for a different case."
"INJUSTICE IS VERY HARD"
Polat wrote, "A person's honor, pride, and reputation are very valuable. All of them have been tarnished." She used the following expressions: "And every time we struggled to clear our names. We are very sure of ourselves, our conscience is clear, and our heads are held high. There is something our state knows, our necks are thin as a hair. However, we are very sad; please make the results of these tests news as loudly as possible, okay? The psychology of my children is disturbed due to such situations. I am a mother trying to hold on to life.
One is very small, the other is in adolescence, and we are struggling a lot. Please have a little empathy. Injustice is very hard. The effort to clear oneself is even harder. Endless love to our loved ones, we are so grateful for your existence. We will patiently wait for the new test results. However, today I was going to have a Mevlut read at home for the 24th anniversary of my mother. What is meant to be will be. I want justice for the psychology of my children."
