Erdogan Slams UN For Failing To Condemn Israeli Assault

20.07.2014 22:32

The UN has failed to condemn Israeli aggression and shares responsibility for the bloodshed of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, said Turkey’s PM on Sunday in the southern Anatolian city of Hatay.

The UN has failed to condemn Israeli aggression and shares responsibility for the bloodshed of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, said Turkey's PM on Sunday in the southern Anatolian city of Hatay.

"Justice cannot be expected from the UN Security Council where there is no representation of Muslims at all," Erdogan said adding "the unjust body of the UN Security Council must be reformed and liberated of the hegemony of certain powers."

He asserted the blood of Muslims is being shed so ruthlessly while the west considers the number of Muslims killed in Gaza and elsewhere just a statistical figure while continuing to lose its spirit and conscience.

He continued by saying Israel endangers world peace by killing innocent infants and children in Gaza and claimed there is no difference between Israeli genocide in Gaza and Hitler's holocaust.

"We are against Hitler's holocaust and anti-semitism as we are against Israeli massacres in Gaza," he said.

He stated each and every human being killed in Syria, Iraq and Palestine is our friend and expressed that we want an end to the brutalities, massacres and tyrants in the Middle East.

Since July 7, Israel has been pounding the Gaza Strip, home to some 1.8 million Palestinians, with crippling air and naval bombardments with the ostensible aim of halting rocket fire.

On Thursday night, Israel stepped up its offensive to include ground operations, sending thousands of troops into the embattled Palestinian territory.

The latest Palestinian fatalities figures reached 425 in the unrelenting Israeli air and naval bombardment of the blockaded Gaza Strip since July 7.
