THE MOST HATED TROLL

Australian Johnson Wen, known as the "Most Hated Troll," pushed photographers aside and advanced towards Grande. At that moment, it was seen that Cynthia Erivo, one of the lead actors, pulled the shocked Grande away from Wen. The incident caused panic among the attendees of the gala and created a stir on social media.

26-year-old Grande announced in a brief statement on Instagram late at night that the "arrested person had been released." On Friday afternoon, the Singapore court charged Wen with "disorderly conduct."

HAS BEEN A MENACE TO CELEBRITIES BEFORE

Wen has a long history of "attacks" on celebrities. His Instagram account contains numerous clips, from the moment he jumped on stage during Katy Perry's concert in Sydney in June to footage of him sabotaging The Chainsmokers concert last December.

If found guilty in Singapore, he faces a fine of up to 2,000 Singapore dollars.

SOCIAL MEDIA ERUPTED: "YOU RE-TRAUMATIZED ARIANA"

After the incident, social media users erupted against Wen. Many pointed out Grande's trauma following the 2017 Manchester attack, accusing Wen of "insensitivity":

"Ariana has already experienced enough trauma. Did you think this was funny?"

The gala's security team also faced backlash. Many users argued on social media that Wen's videos should be completely banned.

GRANDE REMAINS SILENT

Although there has been no detailed statement from Grande following the incident, it was seen that the star was consoled by her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Erivo. Footage of Wen being hastily removed by security quickly spread online.

After a brief chaos, the gala returned to its normal flow.
