While Turkey mourns the tragedy of the hotel fire in Bolu Kartalkaya that claimed the lives of 78 people, Fatih Ürek's social media post has sparked reactions.
A fire broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel located in Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort on January 21st in the early morning.
Those staying at the hotel were caught off guard by the fire that broke out at 03:20 in the morning. 78 people, including children, lost their lives as they could not reach the fire escape, which was reported to be inside the hotel and had a non-functioning fire alarm.
Following the tragedy that plunged Turkey into mourning, a day of national mourning was declared, and many famous personalities made numerous posts on social media. However, some of these posts drew criticism. One of the names that faced backlash for his post on Instagram was singer Fatih Ürek.

On the day the victims of the fire were buried, the famous personality shared an image of a burning fireplace from his holiday in Milan. Following the backlash, Ürek deleted the post he made on his Instagram account.
