A quarantine measure has been implemented in 15 neighborhoods following the detection of foot-and-mouth disease in the Ulukır neighborhood of the Gönen district in Balıkesir.
During inspections conducted by the Gönen District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams, foot-and-mouth disease was detected in cattle in the Ulukır neighborhood.
HERE ARE THE 15 NEIGHBORHOODS
In order to prevent the spread of the disease, the neighborhoods of Ayvalıdere, Gebeçınar, Kınalar, Çifteçeşmeler, Dışbudak, Gelgeç, Turplu, Sarıköy, Dereköy, Gündoğan, Alaattin, Bostancı, Paşaçiftlik, Körpeağaç, and Havutça, especially Ulukır, have been placed under quarantine.
PENALTIES WILL BE IMPOSED ON THOSE WHO VIOLATE THE QUARANTINE
While the entry and exit of animals in these neighborhoods are prohibited under quarantine, all animal movements in the region have been halted. Officials from the Gönen District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry have requested that citizens comply with the measures taken to control the disease, and it has been reported that administrative fines will be imposed on those who violate the quarantine rules.
