Reportedly, the fire first broke out at the five-storey depot at Halkalı Customs Administration due to an unknown reason at night. The fire spread to all parts of the building quickly. When the fire could not be taken under control with the fire brigades several more crews were dispatched to the scene.
A total of 120 fire fighters worked hard to bring fire under control in two hours. At the end of the fire, 8,000 square meters of depot was completely destroyed.
