Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu received his Albanian counterpart Ditmir Bushati in Ankara on Friday. The meeting between the two ministers was held at Foreign Ministry headquarters. The ministers answered the questions of press members following the tête-à-tête meeting which was held behind closed doors. According to the ministry, foreign ministers signed a paper of commitment on further plans about development of relations between the two countries.
When asked about Ukraine crisis, Davutoğlu said that he followed the quadripartite meeting in Geneva and he appreciates the result that was reached by parties which refers only to diplomatic way as a solution for the conflict.
"We are ready to contribute to the solution efforts of Ukraine crisis. We are in touch with the all parties of the crisis. Yesterday our prime minister had a phone conversation with Mr. Putin. Few days ago, I met with Mr. Kerry. We are holding exchange of ideas. We hope this crisis will reach a solution in the shortest time and safety basin based on mutual respect in Black Sea region which was formed in cold war period will be reinstated soon. Turkey will spend all kind of efforts to support all kind of attempts," stated Davutoğlu.
