Galatasaray defeated SAI Kayseri Erciyesspor 3-1 in the opening match of the week in Istanbul on Friday.
Home team Galatasaray took the lead in the early minutes of the game when a strike in the penalty box by Turkish striker Umut Bulut made it 1-0.
SAI Kayseri Erciyesspor equalized thanks to a goal in the 32nd minute by Belgian striker Bjorn Vleminckx.
A goal in the 53rd minute Cameroonian center-back Aurelien Chedjou gave Galatasaray the lead for good midfielder Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder's goal in injury time sealed the victory.
Leaders Galatasaray are four points ahead of second-place Besiktas.
