Football: Galatasaray Edge Out Inter İn Friendly

Galatasaray beat Inter Milan in a close-fought 1-0 friendly in Istanbul on Sunday night.



The Turkish champions' Dutch star Wesley Sneijder broke the deadlock in 54th minute.



Galatasaray's Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo, who is rumoured to join Inter, was not selected.



Inter manager Roberto Mancini, who coached Galatasary in the 2013-14 season, was welcomed back to the Turk Telekom Arena by the home fans and presented with a Galatasaray shirt.



Meanwhile, Besiktas beat Croatia's NK Zadar 3-0 in a friendly in Pinkafeld, Austria. Cenk Tosun scored twice and Swedish center-back Alexander Milosevic also got on the scoresheet. New signing Mario Gomez did not play.



Newly promoted Antalyaspor drew against Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in a 1-1 friendly held in Afyonkarahisar. Casablanca took the lead when winger Youssef Kaddioui Idrissi's scored near the end of the first half but Antalyaspor equalized in the 82nd minute through Emrah Bassan, assisted by Samuel Eto'o. - Ankara
