Former Real Madrid forward Raul Gonzalez agreed terms with second-tier US NASL Fall Championship team, New York Cosmos, on Tuesday.
ESPN said that the 37-year-old forward is set to finalize his move and sign the contract with the North American Soccer League, or NASL, club for the 2015 spring season.
It was also reported that Raul will manage the Cosmos' youth academy until he starts for the New York City-based second division club.
Having played for Spanish La Liga giants' Real Madrid between 1994 and 2010, Raul transferred to Germany's Schalke 04 between the years 2010 and 2012 before finally playing for Qatari club Al-Sadd for the past two seasons.
