Four Egyptian security personnel were killed Saturday when unknown assailants launched a drive-by attack on a checkpoint in southern Giza province, a security source told Anadolu Agency.
The source said that "masked gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire on a police checkpoint in Sakkara Road before managing to escape."
"The attack left two officers and two conscripts dead," the source added.
Meanwhile, five Egyptian soldiers were injured when their helicopter crashed in Ismailia province on Saturday, a security source told Anadolu Agency.
No deaths were reported in the incident and the reason of the crash is unknown at this time. - Mısır
