Free Syrian Army Kills 15 Regime Soldiers

At least 15 people were killed in Free Syrian Army's attack on a checkpoint in Syria on Thursday.



Free Syrian Army (FSA) killed 15 people and destroyed a tank in an attack on a military point in Khan-al-Sheikh of Damascus, according to the Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC).



The Damascus regime has so far not made any statement related to the issue.



Syria has been gripped by fighting since the regime of Bashar al-Assad launched a violent crackdown in response to anti-government protests in March 2011, triggering a conflict that has spiraled into civil war.



The UN has stopped updating its death toll for the country because an official count has become too difficult to verify. At least 100,000 deaths were recorded in the last official count in July 2013.
